Cheaper By The Dozen 2

Over the weekend I was invited to my cousin’s birthday party. So me and my sister went to their house and had a great time. We ate pizza and ice cream cake and that kind of sweet stuff. We also watched “Cheaper By The Dozen 2” and i loved it. It was really funny and very real. There is so much drama in it and a lot of things people could relate their problems too.

“Cheaper By The Dozen 2” is about a Baker family that begins to undergo many changes, beginning with Lorraine (Hillary Duff) and her desire to go to study in New York. Their oldest daughter, Nora (Piper Perabo), is now married to Bud McNulty, and pregnant. But the couple intend to move to Houston Texas, Because of Bud’s new job promotion. Feeling that the family is breaking apart, as the children grow up and move away. Tom presents the entire family to take one last family vacation all together at Lake Winnetka. Tom’s old riva Jimmy Murtagh (Eugene Levy), and his large family are also there for the summer. Jimmy constantly flaunts his wealth and success to Tom as well of the accomplishments of his children constantly suggesting  to Tom that the Baker children ae less successful because of Toms parenting style. The two family’s end up going against each other to prove which one is better. A fight that they will never forget.

What I like about this movie is how they took shots that made you wonder how they could actually do for real life. For example when Tom and Jimmy were both on a big log running on it without falling because they were actually outside and in water. I was also surprised with the fireworks. It was surprising to me because it was real fireworks blowing up a boat and everyone else in the movie watching it blow up.

I really loved the characters such as Tom and his “daughter” Sarah Baker because they are so funny. Tom always gets these funny expressions on his face that just crack me up. He also acts like a kid a lot. For example when he was over at Jimmy’s, he comes up to Sarah Baker and asks her to look at the view and as they are doing that he asks her to put meat under Jimmy’s chair pillow so that there dog could attack him in front of everyone at dinner. Sarah Baker is also very funny because when she’s mad, she’s mad but the way she acts just makes it even more funnier because she looks serious but the things she does while looking serious makes it funny.

I would recommend this movie to everyone. It’s really funny and it has to do with family and teaches you a little about how family is worth having. It is also a movie where you can just lay back and know that there won’t be something jumping out unexpectedly. When I watched it I got really excited for summer because it reminded me of summer. My cousins loved it as well even my nine-teen year old cousin laughed when she saw it. This movie is a “have to watch” movie.

Ice Age Three

So this weekend I finished cleaning the house and I had nothing else to do. I turned to my sister and told her to thing of a good movie to watch. We both thought about what we could watch but we couldn’t think of anything. Then I remembered that there was another Ice Age that came out. Me and my sister got on the computer and found it and decided to watch it. I have to say that I liked it. It had some humor in it too and it was all just different that’s what i liked about it.

This film is called ” Ice Age: Dawn Of  The Dinosaurs”. After the events of “Ice Age: The Meltdown”, life begins to change for Manny and his friends: Scrat is still on the hunt to hold onto his beloved acorn, while finding a possible romance in a female sabre-toothed squirrel named Scrattle. Manny and Ellie, having since become an item, are expecting a baby, which leaves Manny anxious to ensure everything is perfect for when his baby arrives. Diego is fed up with being treated like a house cat and ponderes the notion that he is becoming to laid back. Sid begins to wish for a family of his own, and so he steals some dinosaur eggs which leads to sid ending up in a strange underground world where his herd must rescue him, while dodging dinosaurs and facing danger left and right, and meeting up wiht one-eyed weasel known as Buck who hunts dinosaurs intently.

This film had a lot of conflict in it. It made the film more interesting because  you have to focus on more than one thing. You had to concentrate on Ellie being pregnant, Sid being captured, allo of them facing dinosaurs and then finding Sid and always running for their lives. I liked that they made the conflicts clear (noticible) because it was easy to understand that even a little kid would notice all the conflicts.

The voices of the characters I really liked as well. You could really tell when there was a problem or when something scary or bad was gonna happen because the voices were shaky and scary sounding. For example when Ellie was ready to give birth her voice was strong and frantic when she was calling for Manny.  Mannys voice however was all panicked and scared which gave away what he felt.

I would recommend this movie to watch with family. It’s very funny and interesting. It has good clearity and good character voices. The kids will love it because they will understand it. The color and picture is really pretty as well. If i have time I will wacth it again.

Alvin and The Chipmunks:The Squeakuel

This weekend me and my family decided to watch “Alvin and The Chiomunks: The Squeakuel”. To tell you the truth I didn’t like it that much. I guess I didn’t like it because it was more of a kids movie. It was too fake for me and it was more of a romantic movie. There was a good lesson in it however but that’s about the only thing I liked about the film.

“Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” is about pop sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore. They end up in the care of Dave Sevilles twenty something nephew Toby. The boys must put aside music to return to school and are tasked with saving the school’s music program by winning the twenty-five thousand dollar prize in a battle of the bands. But the chipmunks unexpectedly meet their match in three singing chipmunks known as the chipettes-Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette. Roamantic and musical and musical sparks are ignited when the chipmunks and chipettes square off.

I loved the different places they took the film at. It wasn’t just one or two places where the film took place at. For example, they’d go from the stage where the chipmunks performed, to the hospital, then  to the airport and then to Tobys place and then school. It made the movie more interesting.

The editing was really amazing. Even though you know that the chipmunks and chipettes are fake they actually looked real. Some of the times I would just sit there and forget that the chipmunks and chipettes are fake because they seemed so real. Especially when Alvin, Simon and Theodore came to highschool for the first time becasue no one pays attention to them because they are so small and no one can see them on the floor.

I would honsetly recommend this to kids. It’s too fake and it’s more of the kid style movie. There are some parts that are funny but not that funny. The lesson os worth watching as well. So it’s pretty much a movie for a family that loves music and romance and lessons becasue this movie is all of this stuff.
